U.S., Iran do Persian Gulf squeeze
The stakes are big and the waterway is small, so communication between the two sides is a must to keep a lid on tensions.

ABOARD THE USS JOHN C. STENNIS — Iran and the United States remain so far apart on so many issues that they refuse to talk about them.
But in the cramped sea routes of the Persian Gulf, U.S. and Iranian warship sailors and fighter pilots speak to each other daily.
Geezer,
Let’s just see if the Bush/Cheney Administration have the cojones to face the consequences that a Civil War will erupt all over this Country..
😉
all over what country GEF?
GEF
They have never had any cajone’s, but have walled themselve off where ever there is a confrontation.
They are never close enough to the ordinary peeps to ever have to worry…Hell, they are so far away that they can’t hear the shouting of the masses. Civil war is too good for them, they might require a revolutionary war…G:
Oh, you guys are talking about the US? Thought so…there is no evidence that such things are anywhere close to happening.
Punditman:
Evidence from whom? The MSM?
LOL
Punditman,
Newsflash: The US Civil War will not be televised..
The Media will spin it as domestic terror..
In the words the NeoCons use in Iraq now…
“It’s American Sectarian Violence!”
😉
Time to Get Angry, America | Wake Up From Your Slumber
“You have somebody like George Tenet acknowledging in his book that he knew that the administration was deceiving the American people into a situation that is murdering young men and women from this country, then George Tenet and Dick Cheney and Condoleezza Rice and George Bush should be in f***ing jail.”
— Sean Penn
GEF, Suzie
Newsflash: Polite marches and a million blogs for peace does not a revolt make. There may be a lot of anger out there, but there is nothing remotely approaching civil unrest, let alone civil war and revolution.
That’s right. The Revolution will NOT be televised; the Revolution will be Live.
I like Gil Scott Heron too, but hackneyed lyrics from another era do not a revolution make, peeps. Still waiting for evidence that the peasants are revolting.
*It* is coming, folks. Better brace yourselves – because Da Big Bomb will be dropped on Iran vewyvewy soon … and then watch the world being set ablaze. 😦
What can America be thinking to actually go to war with Iran. It seems this President just might do it, if things dont go the way he would like them to go in Iraq and the House and Senate takes away hi war, then I want be surprise.
Looks like the scenario with the ships is true to the rest of the Bush war.. a Charlie Foxtrot.
Punditman,
Wait for the Back flash blaze from the Attack on Iran..
The proof will be in every place in America!
😉
OK, I will wait GEF. But I for one, am not manning the barricades just yet. Excuse my cynicism about the current state of American dissent but my reasoning is based on empiricism as opposed to wishful sloganeering. Without a military draft to galvanize youthful dissent, we must rely on the knowledge and sentiments of the general population. For this, I offer the following statistics, courtesy of journalist Eric Margolis:
“The fact recent polls found 60% of Americans – and 90% of US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan – still believe Saddam and bin Laden had colluded to launch 9/11 is shocking, but not surprising. Ignorance of foreign affairs and mindless flag waving are as American as apple pie.”
It is this mass obliviousness and blinded jingoism that the Bushies can rely on. They think they can get away with attacking Iran under false auspices without too much domestic uproar. I hope they are wrong, but I fear they are right.
Hi calamityjane
Yep…True to form they say that the carriers will be cut back, but for now there are three. Words are cheap, but with these idiots rhetoric is worthless.
Going by what we’ve seen so far a revolution could really happen…);

I just checked out google for the Loose Change II edition video. It has had 6,426,978 views so far, but the population of the US is 301,139,947, which tallies up to 2 %. I guess we better start sharing this video with whomever will watch it. The ones who should see it the most are the troops, and it would sure be interesting to see what would happen if this could be shown on the MSM.
Ya..I know…fat chance
