Levi Johnston On CBS’ Early Show: I’m Going To Leak Things On Palin, That’s Just How It Is (VIDEO)

Levi Johnston appeared on CBS’ Early Show Wednesday, where he explained his reasons for spilling unflattering information about the Palin family and said he was keeping some “huge” secrets.

Among other things, Johnston said Palin joked about her son Trig’s Down Syndrome, calling him her “retarded baby.”

“I was just in shock the first time I heard it,” he said, when host Maggie Rodriguez expressed disbelief. He also said Bristol took care of the baby much more than her mother: “Sarah was never home.”

Caribou Barbie is a frightening spectacle, to be sure, but she’s also the gift that just keeps on giving. Her money-grubbing, her hypocrisy, her flip-flops, and her stupidity make her top-notch entertainment. Just look at the latest stories we have about the Wasilla Hillbilly and her wacky, trailer-park family.

The first one is (perhaps) the final chapter to the bill that just kept growing. Politico now says that Caribou Barbie racked up nearly $200,000.00 on the RNC credit card. That’s a pretty damned impressive shopping spree for the hockey mom who knows all about your struggles, ain’t it?

Closing a loop on the campaign finance side of the Sarah Palin clothes saga, the Republican National Committee late last month filed an amended report detailing exactly which disbursements were clothing purchases for the Republican vice presidential candidate and her family.

The amended report shows that the committee paid about $23,000 for clothing in the three weeks before and after Election Day – which is actually $7,000 less than previously reported.

That new report brings the total Palin clothing costs paid by the RNC down to about $173,000 and also makes it easier to spot clothing purchases that had previously gone undetected.

For instance, a $192 payment to the Philadelphia Flyers pro shop previously described as “campaign accessories” was recategorized as “candidate clothing,” possibly for either the Flyers hockey jersey Palin reportedly received with her name and the No. 1 on the back before dropping a ceremonial puck or the one that her younger daughter, Piper, wore at the game.

Similarly, a $289 payment to high-end shoemaker Stuart Weitzman, which had been described as “retail” and “accessories,” became “candidate clothing.”

The report also details a number of clothing payments to retailers not known for their sartorial selection, including $49 to a UPS Store near running mate John McCain’s Arizona ranch; $144 to CVS stores in Ohio, Florida and Wisconsin; and $426 to various Walgreens stores.

The RNC did not respond to requests for comment about the amended report or the fate of the clothes, which were to have been donated to charity.

She sure took the RNC for a hell of a ride, didn’t she?

But wait….. there’s more…..

Levi Johnston Quits Job; Palin Denies Involvement

The Huffington Post |  Rachel Weiner   |   January 6, 2009 08:42 AM

The Anchorage Daily News reports that Levi Johnston, the father of Bristol Palin’s new baby, has quit his job:

Levi Johnston, the teenager planning to marry Gov. Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol, has quit his North Slope oil field job over questions about his eligibility to participate in an electrical apprenticeship program, Johnston’s father said Monday.
Johnston this fall began working at the Milne Point oil field through the ASRC Energy Services apprenticeship program.

In a Sunday editorial in the paper, Dan Fagan questioned whether Gov. Sarah Palin helped Johnston skirt requirements to get the gig.

Bristol Palin’s Future Mother-In-Law’s Drug Arrest: Trooper Says Election Delayed Case

Associated Press |   December 26, 2008 01:11 PM

WASILLA, Alaska — The mother of Bristol Palin’s boyfriend sent text messages discussing drug transactions less than a month after the young woman’s mother, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, was nominated as the Republican vice presidential candidate, according to court documents filed this week.

An affidavit from an Alaska state trooper, filed Monday, states that Sherry L. Johnston referred in her messages to two police informants to “coffee” as a code for the drug OxyContin.

Johnston, 42, was arrested on felony drug charges last week after state troopers served a search warrant at her Wasilla home. She allegedly sold OxyContin tablets to the informants on three occasions this fall, the affidavit states. Police said two of the meetings were recorded by a hidden camera and a microphone.

Johnston is the mother of Levi Johnston, 18. Sarah Palin announced in September that her daughter Bristol, also 18, was pregnant and that Johnston was the father. Their child was due to be born Dec. 18, her grandfather Chuck Heath told the Anchorage Daily News recently.

More Palin family trouble: Levi’s mom’s been arrested

WASILLA, Alaska — A 42-year-old Wasilla woman was arrested Thursday at her home by Alaska State Troopers with a search warrant in an undercover drug investigation. Sherry L. Johnston was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Johnston is the mother of Levi Johnston, the Wasilla 18-year-old who received international attention in September when Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, announced their teenage daughter was pregnant and he was the father. Bristol Palin, 18, is due on Saturday, according to a recent interview with the governor’s father, Chuck Heath.

Troopers served the warrant at Johnston’s home at the “conclusion of an undercover narcotics investigation,” said a statement issued Thursday by the troopers as part of the normal daily summary of activity around the state.

Troopers charged Johnston with second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance — generally manufacturing or delivering drugs — as well as fourth-degree misconduct involving controlled substances, or possession.
