Sarah Palin Is NOT The Mother [Photos+Video]

Daily Kos– by ArcXIX

Sat Aug 30, 2008 at 01:12:31 PM PDT

Yesterday, with the news of Sarah Louise Heath Palin inexplicably being chosen as a Vice-Presidential nominee, the attentive American public was also introduced to her character. Unfortunately for all of us, it was filled with multiple instances of backtracking and outright lies. While Alaskans had been giving her an 80% approval rating, recently 87% of Alaskans polled on the subject of TrooperGate believed she was lying.

Now, I’ve known liars in my life. Their single core problem is not with themselves, but those around them. If they’re never called out on their twisting of truths and fabrications, they simply continue to make larger lies.

Well, Sarah, I’m calling you a liar. And not even a good one. Trig Paxson Van Palin is not your son. He is your grandson. The sooner you come forward with this revelation to the public, the better.

  • ArcXIX’s diary :: ::

The story begins on March 6th, when Sarah decided to come forward and announce to the world that she was pregnant, a monumental occasion for an acting Governor. Republican Governor Jane Maria Swift of Massachusetts was the first sitting Governor in United States history to give birth in office just seven years before, and now here we were once again. Yet, no one could believe the news:

JUNEAU — Gov. Sarah Palin shocked and awed just about everybody around the Capitol on Wednesday when she announced she’s expecting her fifth child.

…

Palin said she’s already about seven months along, with the baby due to arrive in mid-May.

That the pregnancy is so advanced astonished all who heard the news. The governor, a runner who’s always been trim, simply doesn’t look pregnant.

Even close members of her staff said they only learned this week their boss was expecting.

“I thought it was becoming obvious,” Palin said. “You know, clothes getting snugger and snugger.”

But people just couldn’t believe the news.

“Really? No!” said Bethel state Rep. Mary Nelson, who is close to giving birth herself.

“It’s wonderful. She’s very well-disguised,” said Senate President Lyda Green, a mother of three who has sometimes sparred with Palin politically. “When I was five months pregnant, there was absolutely no question that I was with child.”

…

Palin said she’s not aiming to take any time off from her job as governor, assuming all goes well with the pregnancy.

…

With Palin riding extraordinarily high popularity ratings, pundits have mentioned her as a potential vice presidential candidate. But she said Wednesday night she’s “not pursuing or perpetuating it,” adding, “I have no desire to leave my job at all as governor.”

…

She’s known as a fashion plate, but said she hasn’t been dressing differently to cover her barely perceptible bulge.

Funny quote on her having no desire for the Vice-Presidency aside, the article is direly clear. No one knew she was pregnant, not even her own staff. Quite a feat. Why the secrecy? Sarah has never given an answer, and upon further reading, no one has bothered to ask.

Seven months into a pregnancy, and no one noticed.

Even Harry Houdini would be impressed.

And how could anyone tell? Sarah’s waistline never changed. Her wardrobe still remained tight and professional. In a video posted in February (nearing five months of pregnancy at the time), Sarah is seen trim, and walking around all of Juneau, Alaska.

[Watch the video]

…”I like running the hills, it kills me, that’s why I like it, I mean it thrashes your guts…”

Not exactly terminology said by a pregnant mother. Six months into pregnancy, she attended the National Governor’s Association at the White House:

(Full Hi-Res, Far Left)

The Associated Press provides two photos in this timespan, one three days later on February 28th:

And another three days before the announcement, on March 3rd:

Here she is, seven months pregnant, three days after her official announcement:

And one week later:

And that infamous video in which Sarah trashes Hillary Clinton? That was at the Newsweek Women & Leadership Event in Los Angeles, in March:

After previous pregnancies (in this case, four), and at later ages, the female body is meant to adjust and show changes earlier, not later as in Sarah’s unprecedented case.

On Friday, April 18th, 2008, Sarah and her husband Todd were in Dallas, Texas for a Republican Governor’s Convention. They had been in town for three days already, but Sarah had yet to give her keynote speaker address on energy policy. Then early Friday morning at 4:00am, Sarah began leaking amniotic fluid. Instead of checking into a hospital, she instead made a call to her doctor, and delivered the keynote speech.

“I was not going to miss that speech,” she says.

She rushed so quickly from the podium afterwards that Texas Gov. Rick Perry nervously asked if she was about to deliver the baby then.

The oddities only grow from here on, as instead of rushing to a Dallas medical facility that could treat a mother who’s amniotic fluid has been draining for hours on end (made even more crucial due to the fact that this is occurring a full month prematurely), Sarah & Todd instead opted to… Fly all the way back from Texas to Alaska. A dangerous choice, as with each pregnancy (once again, in this case after four previous), a mother’s window of labor to delivery grows shorter and shorter.

Aboard Alaska Airlines, the flight lasted for eight hours, with an additional landing in Seattle. The majority of commercial airlines require mothers seven months pregnant to provide a doctor’s letter to fly, but Sarah did not inform the airline of her condition. Alaska Airlines is one of the few airlines that do not require such a notice, despite the possibility of an emergency landings being required in such scenarios. That said, no one on board noticed that Sarah was going into labor:

“We leave the decision to fly up to our customers and their medical advisers,” according to Alaska Airlines representative Caroline Boren.

…

“Governor Palin was extremely pleasant to flight attendants and her stage of pregnancy was not apparent by observation as she didn’t show any signs of distress,” Boren said.

Eight months pregnant. A 6.2 pound fetus. No one notices a visible trace. By the third trimester, a perfectly fit woman not wearing anything less than a space suit should be easily spotted as pregnant. Not in Sarah’s case.

The plane then made a landing in Anchorage, Alaska. Does Sarah then visit a medical facility that can accommodate a premature birth in Alaska’s most equipped city? No. She drives 45 minutes away, to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, right outside the small village she used to govern as Mayor, Wasilla. Trig Palin is then delivered one month premature, Friday night. Sarah returned to work after three days.

The inherent need to absolutely have Trig delivered in a remote and possibly ill-equipped facility for premature deliveries, where Sarah would likely have numerous contacts and pull, does not sit well. The doctor, Cathy Baldwin-Johnson, approving of all of these actions borders on malpractice. Not treating leaking amniotic fluid causes infections, and time is of the essence after water breaks. Husband Todd Palin simply delivers this winner of a line:

“You can’t have a fish picker from Texas,” said Todd.

A poor motivation, to be sure. Another motivation began making its rounds in the Alaskan legislature, where everyone was initially shocked to hear the news.

Sarah Palin was not pregnant with child.

Her sixteen year-old daughter was.

Checking with the Anchorage High School that Bristol Palin attended, reporters were given word that her family had taken Bristol out of school due to contracting infectious mononucleosis. The amount of time Bristol was absent shifts from five to eight months.

Mono can last anywhere from two weeks to three months, but an eight month infection is a freak oddity. Yet it remains a common excuse given by girls in private & Catholic schools around the nation when pregnancy comes into play. Not the first time, not the last time.

The following photograph of Bristol has been dated late 2007:

(Full Hi-Res, Right)

And the following photograph was printed in the Anchorage Daily News, on March 9th:

Bristol is pregnant in these pictures. She is not carrying belly fat, which grows outwardly wide, and does not become dome-shaped. That’s because fat is generally evenly distributed around the abdomen and a fetus is not. Bristol’s chest is sticking out, a normal body reaction when sucking in stomach muscles.

Yesterday, the State of Alaska has also moved Sarah’s photo page three different times from

http://gov.state.ak.us/…

to

http://www1.gov.state.ak.us/…

to

http://gov.state.ak.us/…

… With losses of photos from January & April.

The final point of interest is that Trig Palin has been diagnosed with Down’s syndrome (aka trisomy 21). This is an interesting point, as chances of having offspring with Down’s Syndrome increases from under 1% to 3% after a mother reaches the age of 40. However, 80% of the cases of Down’s Syndrome are in mother’s under the age of 35, through sheer quantities of births in this age group.

People like to think the vetting process is secure, and completed months ahead of time, but ABC News has reported otherwise, painting a picture of a quick vetting process for Sarah by a small, but secretive group of McCain’s legal staff. A proper vetting process under those circumstances would only go so far, and the true media vetting process has just begun.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that this story was never properly researched. Palin was never on the National scene for more than a few minutes at a time, and local reporting only goes so far on a governor with an 80% approval rating. However, the motivation to cover daughter’s pregnancy aligns with her political standings. She valiantly did not perform an abortion, but fell into the fundamentalist way of thinking, and covered up for the elicit (but natural) action’s of her daughter.

There could be calls below to delete this information. Calls that this type of information is muckraking and ‘below us’. The truth is not below any progressive, nor any citizen of the world that is one heartbeat away from having Palin as leader of the free world. We simply ask that she be forthright, honest, and not waste our time with such juvenile games that anyone with eyes can see as fabrication.

Bristol Palin rightfully should be able to embrace her child in public as her own, with no shame, and no quarter. And a mother should be just as accepting.

    From Daily Kos comments:

She may have worn coats, etc. in pictures. (0+ / 0-)

But it is well documented that numerous picture from that period have been scrubbed from her site recently. I have been looking at this situation independently and came to the same conclusion. I assume she wasn’t always wearing jackets at work and, according to Alaska news reports, folks who worked with her were shocked at the news. Also of interest, friends of the daughter had seen her during the “mono” phase and thought she was pregnant. This wasn’t a big secret in Alaska and would have been picked up if there had been competent vetting.

Another interesting comment on Daily Kos:

Hypocracy – why this story must come out (0+ / 0-)

    To those who don’t believe,…

Even I don’t think a Republican is callous enough to go into labor in Texas (while supposedly 7 months pregnant) AND THEN: – still give her political speech, – get on a 9 hour plane ride to Anchorage, – ignore the local NICU facilties – drive 1 hour to her backwoods maternity unit – give birth and go back to work 3 days later

To those that question revealing this story,…

I’m fine with: – Her daughter accidentally getting pregnant – The “Family” deciding to keep it. – The Cover-up IF the daughter wished that and IF the family doesn’t then move into national politics and lecture us about values

    I’m not fine with:
Prolife loonies shaming their daughter to cover up her child
prolife loonies lecturing us all about contraception/abortion/family values while they cover up their “failings”
-Pro life loonies then seeking the second highest position in the land and exposing their daughters situation to public view
prolife loonies then exploiting fake credentials as: “mother of five”, their heroic choice to keep their child once diagnosed with downs, their “amazing fortitude” to have a newborn child at 44 and yet still govern a state.

Many people are wondering about this story. NO commercial airline would allow a woman to fly – it is approximately 7 hours with no delays and at least 1 change of planes (they claimed that she flew Alaska Airlines). All commercial airlines have rules, regulations and policies. Her labor and delivery would and could have caused huge liability issues and we know the airlines (particularly now) are not into problems on their planes!

IF she is raising her grandson as a gift to her daughter….if she and her husband agreed this was the right thing to do for her daughter Bristol and the baby, then that is commendable. Also, no one would even care .. teenagers have become pregnant in the past without it being a life shattering event especially with parental support.

But IF this baby is Bristol’s child and she (Palin) is perpetrating this huge fraud on the American people, then this WILL come out.

She (Palin) was a multipara – a pregnant woman who has delivered multiple children – she would have never been that far away and gone home to deliver. She would be high risk for a rapid delivery.

That fact, combined with Bristol’s “mono” makes this a story with legs.

I’d prefer to hear that she and her husband are raising their daughter’s child out of the goodness of her heart …. oh yeah, she’s a Republican … they have no true heart.

  4. on August 31, 2008 at 9:41 am Rob

Palin is going to be the Tom Eagleton of the GOP.

My mother is a former pediatric nurse (retired in 2000 after about 30 years on the job) and she told me this story is “fishier than tuna” and finds it “unbelievable” that a physician would allow her to get back on a plane rather than urging her to immediately seek medical attention. At the very least, Palin acted negligently and my mother thinks that the physician did not tell her to get on that plane. By doing so, Palin risked contracting sepsis, which could have been grave for both mother and child.

She also says that Bristol looks 4-5 months pregnant in one of the above photos.

Here is likely what really happened:

At 4 a.m. Texas time, she gets a cellphone call that her daughter’s water had broken. Palin had to keep the story congruent with what was happening to her daughter, so she told everyone her water had broken when that was not the case. She called her daughter’s physician before she got on the plane and flew to Seattle and then called him again before flying on home. The daughter gave birth the next morning.

Oh, I didn’t mention one thing: Palin’s daughter had been pulled out of school five months before she gave birth, ostensibly for “mono.” In a lot of neighborhoods in America, “mono” is a code word for “I got knocked up” or “I did some time in a correctional facility” among juveniles. How convenient.

Palin had to maintain this charade because she didn’t want her Christian Right followers to know that her daughter had given birth out of wedlock and sinned. She has thus lied to the media and the American people and she will be greeted like Linda Smith (the murderer) by her evangelical following, who she also lied to, if she is found out.

I feel sorry for Bristol, who just made a dumb mistake and who is now caught between a rock and hard place because of her conniving parents. My best wishes go out to her and her baby, which is being used as a political prop to demonstrate Palin’s moral virtue and dedication to the Christian Right cause. What pieces of work the governor and her husband must be.

    Hi Rob:

Welcome to the Suzie-Q blog and thank you for your comments. You have made some interesting points and yes, I agree with your mother, it is very fishy.

Someone posted a comment on this blog yesterday, on the post, Oh Baby, Who’s Your Mama?, that there is an email going around saying Palin’s oldest son, Track, is the father. And, that Palin sent him away to go to Iraq for that reason.

I checked to see when Track enlisted in the Army, and it was on Sept. 11, 2007. He is leaving for Iraq on Sept. 11, 2008, or so the reports state.

I don’t know that this is all true… but IF it is… I have a suspicion that this may have been the case to cover-up the identity of the father… not to cover-up the pregnancy of their teenage daughter.

I am a small woman. My heaviest was 136 at 71/2 months. I gave birth to a son he was 6 lb 6 oz. He was early. When I went into labor the second time. It was stopped at 5 months. My water ruptured………..not broke. Your dont go into full labor until the water is fully broken. Although there is no turning back after the rupture. You are not in full labor until broken.

This was my 4th child. My first pregnancy and labor i went into labor at 2:00am in the morning. My daughter was born at 5:07am. I thought the first was supposed to be the longest??? Not true, every woman is different and every pregency is different.

PS My friends and co-workers did NOT know I was pregnant with the 4th until I told them. I am 43 years old. I was lucky other than my son being a premie and had a extra stay at the hospital with jaundice. Thank God he was healthy.

I am a former Hillary supporter and now because of her an Obama supporter.

Hillary would be disappointed in alot of women that would spread this kind of smear it is exactly the kind of things that was done to her.

Come on people lets stay respectful.

    Hi Debra,

Thanks for visiting… Do you have a blog of your own? If you do, you would realize we are not trying to smear Palin but we are posting information on a fairly unknown person who is running for VP of this country. ;)

  8. on August 31, 2008 at 1:25 pm Suzie-Q

    Also, remember this?

“Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno.”

That’s how “off-limits” she was in 1998, when she was still a teenager. The man who delivered that, um, joke, at a GOP fundraiser, was John McCain. A class act.

Follup on Palin Fake Pregnancy (1+ / 0-)

Here’s another interesting picture to add to your colection. This was put out in McCain’s biography pages. It is from when Palin was pregnant with an EARLIER child. Just to counter any arguement that an 8 month pregnant woman might not show:

Well, sure. But the alleged coverup is what should concern people.

My guess is that the next thing we can expect is a birth certificate hunt.

Another interesting comment made on this article on Kos:

A circumstantial piece of evidence: on Feb. 8, 2008 Bristol Palin was cited for failing to use due care to avoid a collision leaving the Family Medicine Center of Alaska. Under the theory presently being explored she would have been between 5 and 6 months pregnant. This falls into the range of time that she is said to have been out of school with mono.

Not to get too salacious here, but could there be a scenario where she received some news that might have caused her not to be focused leaving the medical center?

Here’s the news report out of the Frontiersman.

Here is someone’s blog transcription before they scrubbed the details on Palin.

  12. on August 31, 2008 at 3:51 pm Cheryl

    Debra:

I think there are some valid points and concerns being brought up about a public servant. Most women who have borne children are well aware of the protocol, travel restrictions, etc., especially with a potential high risk delivery, etc. It’s not exactly a “smear” when local Alaskan newspapers have reported that even co-workers of the Governor were shocked to learn she was pregnant.

Being a government worker, I would think (especially a Governor) co-workers and the powers that be, would need to be aware of a pregnancy or health condition, especially since there would be a leave of absence for a hospital stay, maternity leave, etc. The government usually provides generously to State and Federal and Local employees for these things. It is very suspicious that NO ONE knew she was pregnant, SHE DIDN’T LOOK PREGNANT, FLEW ON A LONG FLIGHT (also against airline rules) WHILE OVER 8 MONTHS PREGNANT AND IN LABOR, says her doctor gave her the okay to do so (I don’t think so, as he could be liable for giving her that risky advice), AND THE FACT SHE INSISTED THE BIRTH HAD TO TAKE PLACE IN ALASKA BY HER OWN DOCTOR, NOT IN TEXAS. THEN, she returns to work 3 days later???? Most doctors insist you stay home AND OFF YOUR FEET, AND NO STEPS FOR 6 WEEKS.

Add to all this the fact that photographs show her daughter in a possible pregnant state, the fact that this same daughter was out of school for 5 months for a disease that rarely, if ever, incapacitates a person for that long.

I, myself, would like to see photographs of Sarah Palin during her other pregnancies to see how big she gets. In the photos that are still availabe, and even a video of her at 7 months pregnant (allegedly) she walked quite normally … no “waddle” … quick, brisk strides. She didn’t appear to have any puffiness whatsoever, no blotchiness, no nothing. Many women can get by with showing very little, but I seriously DOUBT that a FIFTH PREGNANCY in a woman with the uterine muscles relaxed, that she would show no evidence of a “pooch”.

Yes, people sometimes do things to protect their family’s good name, etc. …. HOWEVER, this woman is a potential Vice President and would be a heart-beat away from the Presidency if elected. Our country is looking for openness and honesty after the corrupt administration we’ve had. There are potentially serious legal issues here … issues which could cause her doctor to lose his license for possibly falsifying records, birth certificates, claims to insurance companies, etc. Likewise, Mrs. Palin could be held liable for complicity in the same way as her doctor. Lying and fraud in a situation like this is pretty serious. The citizens of America have a RIGHT TO KNOW. We’re tired of the lying and the corruption. We don’t need another. Therefore, this story needs to be followed up completely, even if it means a DNA test on her husband, the son, the daughter, the baby, etc. Scams on the American people should not be tolerated.

And considering the big hype about John Edwards marital indiscretion and Bill Clinton’s …. it’s only fair that something this serious is not just a simple case of “protecting the family name”.

I really hope this is not true and a rumor, I know about all the rumors that were manufactured about Sen. Obama to the point where he had to start a website to counter them, I hope its not true, not b/c I support McCain, I do not, but, its such a terrible fraud on the American people if it is true. Finally, I cannot help but wonder why with even a suspicion such as this, McCain would have selected her

  16. on September 1, 2008 at 12:24 pm wickle

Well, since we now know that Bristol is five months pregnant, and therefore couldn’t have given birth four months ago, I assume that you’ll be as quick to apologize to the teenage girl you’re insulting as you were to participate in the smear?

  17. on September 1, 2008 at 2:35 pm Deb R

While Palin’s daughter is obviously NOT the mother of Trig, she is pregnant out of wedlock now, which obviously was going to be kept secret had the whole question of Palin’s pregnancy not been raised. Furthermore, just because Bristol is not the mother, does not mean that Sarah is! The whole scenario of her pregnancy seems very odd and frankly somewhat implausible.

However, I have a question about Palin’s 1st pregnancy with son Track. I can’t find anyplace where Track’s birth date is mentioned. When I read that Sarah & Todd eloped, were not married in a church, and had to enlist residents of a nursing home for witnesses, it didn’t sound like the wedding of an ultra-conservative, religious couple to me. What it sounded like was a couple who got married in a big hurry because the woman was pregnant! Maybe daughter Bristol is merely following in her mother’s footsteps??? Perhaps son Track conceived his own illegitimate son, who is being raised as his brother??? If Palin were someone who believed that everyone has a right to lead their own life without the government telling them what they can or cannot do with their lives or their bodies, I wouldn’t care what she or her kids did. But since she feels she has the right to tell women what they can do about their pregnancies, her & her family’s reproduction are fair game!

An interesting comment on Daily Kos blog: (where this story came from)

Keeping an open mind about all of this… (1+ / 0-)

    Recommended by:
    dailykozzer

I’ve been watching this all weekend. I guess I found it on Saturnday morning because I was searching for something–ANYthing–about this candidate who just appeared out of nowhere.

Her story just doesn’t pass the “sniff test” for me, which is why I guess I was looking around in the first place.

Having seen the photo of Gov Palin this morning posted by Andrew Sullivan on the DailyDish.com, I’m still not convinced one way or the other. The image’s date stamp isn’t accurate and there isn’t any video on the CBS affiliate’s webpage for this interview that might authenticate the photo. This image isn’t conclusive, especially in the face of the other images (daughter Bristol’s rings, changes in physiology), scrubbed websites, auto accident reports, five month school absence, alleged conversations between Todd Palin and a co-worker, alleged eyewitness reports by classmates, subsequent appointment of the OB-GYN to state office, and persistent old rumors in Anchorage, etc.

Is this newsworthy and legitimate for this forum?

I strongly believe it is, for these two reasons:
If true, this deception–while understandable on one level (parent motivated to protect her pregnant teen)–potentially contains within it an intent on the part of this candidate for national public office to falsify public documents, commit insurance fraud, and to grossly misrepresent herself to the American voter. Secondly, this all demonstrates the incompetence of the Republican candidate for president to responsibly vet this vice presidential candidate.

There is only one way to discover whether this is true, and that is to continue sorting through the available evidence. The MSM isn’t going to do that until there is an adequate body of evidence that seems reliable enough to generate an inquiry on their part. That’s not what they’re good at, and certainly not what they’re interested in anymore. There is a need for this questioning, apparently, because the blogosphere has emerged and is asking questions like this.

This isn’t to me so much about partisian hackery and oneupmanship, it’s about governance and responsibility and discourse about the representation we elect. And it certainly doesn’t preclude any currently legitimate questions about this candidate’s qualifications for national office, the dishonesty we do know about (statements made to the MSM about Troopergate), and her policies.

And, another interesting comment from Daily Kos blog:

    breastfeeding? (0+ / 0-)

Someone commented that Palin said she was breastfeeding the infant.
    She didn’t.
What she said was something about getting up during the night to get the breast PUMP instead of the Blackberry.
WHen you’re feeding an infant, you don’t PUMP in the middle of the night. If the baby needs to be fed, you feed him. I think that was a slip, and an indication that something isn’t quite right about her story.

    Wow …

    That’s a pathetic argument.

My wife DID get up in the middle of the night to pump while breastfeeding, because our daughter routinely slept through the night since she was one month old, but my wife needed both to relieve pressure and make sure that her supply remained consistent.

Unusual, but hardly anything on which you can base an argument.

Or, if you’re the sort who really thinks that you’ve got a case … I’d like to help you funnel $300 million from a dead diamond executive in South Africa …

    You’re embarrassing yourself.

How do we know Bristol is 5 months pregnant? Because Palin says so? We know Bristol is pregnant because….???

Supposedly Trig was born in April – mid April I believe but am not sure since no one can find a record of him being born on that date in the hospital they say.

I do believe it is ticky-tacky to get into breast-feeding issues – and in fact, it hasn’t really been a part of the story. When your baby was born, I wonder if your wife chose to give a speech, then travel for close to 24 hours, on 2 commercial flights, landing in Anchorage (which has 2 hospitals with NICU units) in order to deliver a potentially highrisk pregnancy in a smalltown community hospital knowing her child had Down’s Syndrome?

Sorry, the story has legs because there is a huge contingent of people who have also delivered children and realize the whole story has more holes than Swiss cheese – it’s ridiculous, unbelievable and ludicrous.

If it’s true, I’m sorry, it exhibits a callous disregard for the life of her child.

I have a hard time believing that a child would spend that much time out of school for Mono.
I had Mono twice in college when I was not much older tan Bristol. I was ill the first time for nearly two months and the second time I was sick for a couple of weeks. It’s interesting to note that SHE looks pregnant in her family photo but her mother (presumed to be pregnant) looks thinner than she does. Regarding flying after her water broke, this makes me seriously question her judgement.
If her water broke she was in labor. Had she had a breech or if her baby had had a cord wrapped around it’s neck it would have died.
An interesting choice for a woman running for the party that claims to “Care for babies”.

Suzie, I apologize if my tone comes across as insulting to any individual … if you check out my blog, you’ll see that I spend a lot of time rebuking personal attacks — and defending Sen. Obama, in fact. It is not my intent to insult, troll, or any such thing.

However, while you present an “interesting comment,” it appears to be meant to support your post, which is entitled “Sarah Palin in NOT the mother,” not “Kos says Sarah Palin is not the mother.” It certainly looks like you’re trying to building a case.

I’m pointing out that that argument is weak, and it makes progressively less sense as it’s clear that Trig isn’t Bristol’s child.

To be honest, though, people who took pictures of a then-16-year-old girl (the photo at the top of your post was taken in 2006 — nearly two years before Trig was born) and decided to say she looked pregnant deserve to be attacked.

Just as I called Rush Limbaugh out when he called Chelsea Clinton “the White House dog,” I call Kos contemptible for this mode of attack.

One thing that surprises me is how quickly most everyone believes that Bristol IS currently pregnant, now.

MY instant first thought, when CNN announced that the family had released a statement that Bristol was 5 months pregnant, was “WOW! They are clever!”. Because if they need a cover to their cover story… what a fantastic idea! And conveniently, Bristol will either miscarry (my prediction) OR have a large but “premature” baby, because both pregnancies could have been hers, and she could be pregnant again, but instead of 5 months, maybe really only 3 1/2 months…… I know several families with children a lot less than a year apart, it is definitely possible.

If Bristol is five months pregnant NOW, she could not have given birth on 4/18/08. So therefore, Trig has to be Sarah’s, and now Bristol is pregnant.

But, given the circumstantial yet compelling evidence to the contrary….. I think this was a brilliant idea, which seems, in many places, to have worked, given all of the “apologies”.

If someone would go to the lengths, IF TRUE, that Sarah has gone to in covering this up, then why not take it one step further? Let me be clear, I agree 100% that Bristol getting pregnant should be able to be a private family matter. But lying about it, (if that turns out to be the case) covering it up, involving other people, AND CHOOSING TO ACCEPT THE VICE PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION, most certainly IS an issue. If she had truly wished to keep this a private matter, she should have declined the request from Senator McCain. And since it was known that Bristol supposedly was pregnant when she was asked, why should she want to subject her teenage daughter to this type of scrutiny?

In that respect, regardless of what story is true, I think it speaks for the character of Sarah Palin. She clearly has put her own ambition above her family’s well being.

  30. on September 2, 2008 at 1:06 pm Matt

Both children could easily be Bristol’s. My brother and I are 11 months apart and my 2 oldest children are 11 1/2 months apart. The scrutiny is justified. One would have to be a total idiot with all the information you have along with the photos of Sarah to believe that Trig is Sarah’s. It sickens me that religion and birthing choices are even brought up during a Presidential election. Both have no buisness in the Federal Government.

    Hey Matt:

So very true that it is possible… and deserves a thorough investigation. ;)

I don’t care about their personal lives but if it is true… it was deceit and a coverup and the American people deserve to know.

  33. on September 2, 2008 at 1:37 pm Shannon R

Thanks; I did not think I was being “freakish” in my post. I have posted comments on issues maybe 2-3 times EVER, but this is something that has just entranced me. I do not think the majority of people that are commenting on this are out to witch-hunt Sarah Palin. In fact, it would be AWESOME if she would remain the VP candidate through to the election, that will, without a doubt, secure the Presidency for Barack Obama.

But to pick someone SO unknown, with ideals so far from mainstream, in an attempt to lure Hillary voters, is mind boggling. (And a McCain staffer said they have to get Hillary votes to win; so I don’t think their choice was purely for the religious right). So after meeting this person for FIFTEEN minutes, ONCE, he put her in the running for VP; and must have thought he had a golden egg; a woman, conservative, a “maverick”.

My fear is that she will drop out soon, and he will have time to pick someone far more able to snag independents, and that this will blow over too quickly.

  34. on September 2, 2008 at 2:39 pm Mark

I would love all these rumors to be true, but if Bristol is five months pregnant now, how could she be the mother of the child born at the end of April?

well in the pictorials above if she was how amny months pregonet i dnt think bristol would be waring a tight shirt but sarah is wearing a coat and sara is perty old and the old time peopple dont like to show there pregnacy whean my mom was pregnat it didnt even look like it suz she wore over sized close and my neices mom was on a flight wean the baby was due in two days she was in a village and she wanted to have the baby in anchorage so you no i do belive it is sarahs baby

  36. on September 2, 2008 at 6:19 pm Emma B

WHen you’re feeding an infant, you don’t PUMP in the middle of the night. If the baby needs to be fed, you feed him.

Sure you do, often enough. Once the baby is sleeping through the night, it’s actually a really good time to pump — you’ve had a few hours of non-nursing time to build up milk, and many women get uncomfortably engorged during the night. I used to do a midnight pumping session pretty often, to build a freezer stash for times when I was away from the babies. I couldn’t really pump during the day, because I was feeding them instead.

In any case, you can’t (generally) pump milk if you didn’t give birth. So regardless of whether she’s nursing the baby or pumping, if she’s lactating, she had a baby.

Also, if the two “pregnant” photos of Bristol were taken at least three months apart, how is it that she looks to have exactly the same size belly in both? Based on the date of the baby’s birth, she would be seven to eight months pregnant in the second photo, which certainly doesn’t appear to be the case.

  37. on September 2, 2008 at 6:23 pm Shannon R

    Mark: (post 34)

How do we know she IS really pregnant now??

    and…

if she is.. how do we know she is FIVE months along? She could be 3 1/2 months; and then conveniently have her baby “early”

Or, if she is NOT pregnant, (again, my guess) then she will have a “miscarriage”.

  38. on September 2, 2008 at 7:39 pm Jane C.

Nice work, Suzieqq. May I add that Sarah Palin’s doctor has said that they were in close touch when Palin’s water broke, and she wasn’t informed that Palin was getting on a plane. How were they in close touch? Telepathy? Did Palin make phone calls during the flight to her doctor? Are there phone records?

It occurs to me why Palin hid her pregnancy and didn’t announce it until March 6th. Earlier, in February, her daughter had a car accident when she should have been home with her highly contagious case of mononucleosis. I’ve heard that the accident occurred as she was leaving the Family Health Center. She would have been about six months pregnant, and it’s between five and six months that the testing is done and you get the results.

Could the Palins have been intending to adopt Bristol’s baby out, pretend as if it never happened, but the news that the fetus had Downs Syndrome ended that plan? So they had to come up with a Plan B, and that was that Sarah Palin had to become the ‘baby mama’.

  39. on September 2, 2008 at 7:52 pm Suzie-Q

Hi Jane C. & other bloggers, as well:

I would like to welcome all of you to this blog and I do appreciate your comments.

Yes, Jane, phone records would be a start, birth certificate, and school records, etc…

Someone in that town knows something and they need to come forward… IF this was in fact a cover up.

I am waiting for this whole story to explode and it will… IF it is a lie… the truth always comes out. ;)

As I have said over and over again, I don’t care about the personal family matters, however, I do care IF it is deceit, lies and cover up from a Govt Official running for VP of this country.

The United States is not Wasilla, Alaska… ;)

  40. on September 3, 2008 at 9:28 am Anna

Medical records on Sarah and Bristol, Delivery records, birth certificate and a paternity test should resolve this issue.

And if all those documents have been falsified, then simply ask
Sarah Palin what is the truth. If she is true to her right wing, conservative values, one would hope she would finally admit to the coverup.

All of these speculations certainly do raise the judgement question for both Mccain and Palin. These are not the type of leaders America deserves.

  41. on September 3, 2008 at 10:30 am Pablo

Fraud. Insurance fraud. This is the real story, folks! NOT the supposed “current” Bristol Palin pregnancy. Did Sarah Palin as Governor of Alaska create a fake pregnancy of her own to obtain lifetime medical benefits for the disabled son of her unwed daughter, who otherwise was not covered for those benefits? There is plenty of indirect but convincing evidence that she did just that, and that is the story that McCain and his minions are trying to suppress. By claiming that daughter Bristol is now pregnant, it obfuscates further research into the possibility of a real crime that may have been committed by Sarah Palin. Don’t be fooled by this morphing of the story. Did Palin commit insurance fraud – that’s the question.

Further…This topic has weight and interest because many people sense something very fishy – Alaskan King Crab fishy. The act they (Republican political machine) are afraid will be exposed is a felony, not a sexual act by an underage daughter. Because if true, if the pregnancy by the Governor of Alaska was indeed faked to get insurance coverage for a disabled child not otherwise covered, it will cause an earthquake within the Republican Party, terminate Sarah Palin’s VP nomination, and send shockwaves of potent scandal throughout the world…again, no attempt by anyone to refute this story with provable facts concerning the birth of Trig Palin…but the McCain people HAVE sent lawyers to Alaska to intervene and forestall the results of the current ethics investigation of Sarah Palin for abuse of her power as Governor, until after the election…does that give you confidence in “truth telling” in a Republican government?

  42. on September 3, 2008 at 10:57 am leah.d.mclellan

Am I to assume that you’re all OB-GYNs and know all there is to know about pregnancy and birth?

While this made for a good SVU episode, the idea that Trig is not her baby has been disproven by the fact that the daughter is STILL pregnant.

But allow me to straighten you out on a few things.

    1) It’s not unusual for a woman to NOT “show” up into the fifth and even the sixth month, depending on how tight she wears her clothing and the size of the fetus. Given that most Downs babies are underweight at birth (and she did deliver early, by the way) her lack of gusty girth does not indicate she’s lacking maternity.

    2) Airlines allow pregnant women to travel. Read this:
“General consensus in the medical community suggests it is best not to travel pregnant before 12 weeks due to morning sickness and possible increased risk of miscarriage. Though many pregnant women have no trouble flying in the first trimester, it is always better to err on the safe side and consult your physician.

After 28 weeks, when the risk of going into labor increases, most airlines will require a letter from your doctor stating that you are fit for air travel while pregnant and confirming your estimated due date. If you are more than 36 weeks pregnant, many airlines will not let you fly due to the increased risk of delivering onboard.”
    re: http://www.cheapflights.com/travel-tips/air-travel-and-pregnancy/

She easily fell between 12 weeks and 28 weeks.

To me, all of this seems very trashy. Libs, you don’t have to like her, vote for her, or even feel a warm fuzzy about the baby. But for crikey’s sake: DO YOUR RESEARCH before you froth off!

  43. on September 3, 2008 at 12:42 pm Anna

A 6 lb. baby at 28 wks borders on macrosomia or large for gestational age, and certainly doesn’t support your statement that trisomy 21 (Downs babies) have IUGR or intrauterine growth restriction. I think you need to check your facts and not guess at which gestational age Sara delivered.

What kind of judgement does a mother to be of 5 get on a plane from Dallas to Anchorage to deliver “at home” while risking both her health and the newborns?

Afterall, since the Republicans are focused on Judgement and character and not the true issues of this election, the above question matters. I guess all of you Republicans just want four more years of lies and not a true change.

First of all common sense would tell you all to do your own research and make deductions rather
than waiting for your evening news to do it for you. If you had done your research you would find that suspicion only began (or at least for me) after reading an Anchorage Times article stating Palin’s pregnancy and how no one ever seemed to notice for seven months.
Her daughter had mono for eight of the seven months her mother was pregnant. She crashed during this bout in front of a Family Medical center and received a ticket. In all of the pictures from late 2007, show Bristol Palin obviously more pregnant than her mother who should have been showing already. They use these same photos to show her as pregnant now though they’ve already changed the picture’s date three times to disprove the obvious truth intelligent people have realized.

Why would she ever take an 8 hour flight and forty five minute drive to a hospital less qualified to take care of a premature down-syndrome newborn. And who the hell would give birth two months early, after having amniotic fluid dripping down her leg so she could make a speech, after having a baby with down-syndrome would go back to work three days later? I can’t even go to the supermarket when I’ve got my period let along govern a state right after giving birth to a child with special “needs”. When is he gonna get to know her as time goes on?

You can claim this woman is a godsend but anyone who flies over innocent animals and shoots them with a smile or joins a losing ticket just to gain some political press while your child is pregnant again is crazy.
I don’t even want to talk about this person anymore. She is boring and polarizing. What happened to going across party lines and appealing to the American people. Their entire convention was filled with old white people. There were absolutely no black families, no hispanic people, two asians, no gays, lesbians, or human beings at all. Just robots, puppets and the wives that extend their legacy.
69% of the Republican party favors that guy George Bush who has clearly sought to destroy this country through hanging out at his ranch while Dick Cheney who belongs to a “city-state” concoction that bears no flag save one of the obelisks that were stolen from Egypt. How can any intelligent person say Obama/Biden equals anything close to Osama? Your wack ass President won’t even say his name eight years after assuring us all that he would “smoke ‘im out of his hole!” and then went after a man who lived in a no-fly zone and was tightly controlled by the United States well before we decided to kill him and destroy his country all in the name of the war on terrorism. Eight years later someone else will have to find him and you would dare state his name as if your President has done anything.
This has become so corny. Just do your own research and you will find that there are several holes in many of the stories. The mother of baby trig is hugely relevant because she has from the start of her announcement that she knew that he had down syndrome during the fourth month of her pregnancy been using the infant as a political ploy. She is trying to guilt people who didn’t feel they could suit the needs of their child and heart breakingly had to make incredibly difficult decisions. She wants to condemn these people to convictions for making a choice in their own life. Yet somehow she demands some sort of privacy pass. Where was she when a freaking political campaign was waging and the world was scrutinizing every other candidate. Why is she so special when she called Hillary a whiner for complaining about what she saw as unfair treatment from the media?

If people would take the time to look at a calendar instead of just looking inside their ass they would have seen that Trig was born on April 18th, 2008 which would make him closer to 6 months…not four. It is a known fact that women can become pregnant directly after being pregnant. These children who are born so close to one another are called “stair-step children” because they come one right after the other. Isn’t it a little stupid to assume that in saying that her daughter is pregnant now so she couldn’t have been pregnant then is extremely convenient.

When her stomach was flat the week she announced she was seven months pregnant, where was the 5 pound infant? In her back? If so…exactly one week later would her belly be sooooooo big she looks like she is 9 months pregnant, not 7 months. Why was her daughter out of school with the “kissing disease” for eight of the months her mother would have been pregnant. Why didn’t her staff who would obviously want to keep their job be so candid in saying that she did not look pregnant unless they are simply stating fact.

For the seven months prior she showed no signs of pregnancy including doctor’s appointments for her down syndrome child who she was so ready to keep that she injected a large needle into her body to find out what kind of illness the baby had. Who does that when you want to keep the baby no matter what? Why not just have the baby and then find out? This story is stupid. Not because it’s good gossip or because people have misconstrued where the story began in the first place but because it is obvious. Don’t say stupid things like pictures don’t show anything. Ummm, last I checked we SEE pictures. How could they not show you something? How long are we going to listen to dumbass arguments like that? How can people actually argue that they’ll believe it when they see it and still consider pictures and video to not be visual proof. It’s like how many videos of UFOs will have to be seen before people stop saying I’ll believe it when I see it. If not it then what are you seeing? The belly wasn’t there and then it was.

Her daughter carries her son with love. Sarah carries him with a cell phone in her hand. You don’t have to believe those pictures either. Just listen to Bush tell you that he’s kept us safe by borrowing money from China with no intent of paying it back and then sounding like an idiot in every speech including those that require a second grade reading level. How can Barack Obama be less qualified than that guy? He’s still got the victims of Gustav sleeping in old muggy factories with literally no food save for the lady who drove by with some plates.

You Republicans and your narrow view of the world is boring. Your convention did not excite me at all last night. Your candidate shoots animals from helicopters that already frighten them and thinks nothing of the mother who just lost her son or the wife whose husband is being photographed with your young daughter, blood seeped snow surrounding your smiles. I’m a 21 year old multi racial young woman and I can say just by LOOKING at the Republican Convention get their “base” all energized has absolutely nothing to with me or my future or my rights. The only people that matter to them are white people in suits. She needs to say something that matters tonight because there are real issues that face this nation and simply because she has a uterus we should be energized and ready for her to control how we use our uterus? God they’re playing the same Musac song! The Democrats had some really awesome live performances and music constantly playing. Everyone was dancing. The Republican’s don’t even have rhythm. You guys don’t represent America in a self-proclaimed Democratic nation. Your party is past tense and soon Sarah Palin and her various scandals will be as well. if McCain had began vetting her since February she would have been pregnant with a newborn. This guys a doofball. Do you own research and stop blaming the liberals for your candidates lack of vetting. All the pundits that speak for you say the same exact thing. How many times can we say “Maverick” before it becomes corny? Find a new buzz word that was Reagan’s.

    http://www.adn.com/front/story/336402.html

This is from the paper in her town, not the left right or middle. Once you’re done…do what I did and type in Sarah Palin’s baby and deduct your own truth. The government removed all pictures of her family that were taken during Bristol’s first pregnancy in which Sarah does not appear pregnant but Bristol does. Dailykos’ site with the story has for whatever reason been removed. I’m sure the author is under Guantanamo being water-boarded. It can’t be her baby because she was having sex right after the baby was born even though she had just gotten over an incredibly long case of infectious mono. You let your daughter who had mono go have sex with a boy who loves being a redneck and we’re supposed to believe you’re a good mother. how about she can’t date this boy and they will not get married. What is he just suddenly gonna be a republican?

I’d also like very much to thank you Miss Q. The truth is a mandatory approach to reality. I like many others would be proud to repost these thought worthy revelations. This woman and her terrible voice is extremely frightening. Did anyone notice the poor infant surrounded by thousands of people screaming and clapping? Did you notice how she took the baby from Willow, kissed all of her children without actually touching her lips to their skin, then turned him toward the crowd so everyone would know that he has down syndrome? He looked frightened considering he just woke up. I would certainly hope none of those thousands of people had a cold or an infection. The Republicans and their denial of the existence of their own President. They’ve been in power for 20 of the last 28 years. I hope they tell their daughter that licking her hand and rubbing it on the babies head is gross. Cute yes, but nasty. We live in Democracy and your time has past.

These people want women to give up the right to decide if they have a child by taking the government out of our lives? and tell them that they are on their own. It is not up govenrment to help the lives of its citizens. So what the hell are they running for. How can you not believe in government as a party but you want to be President of the government. What America did George Bush strengthen. Sorry, I’m ranting but these people simply disgust me. I made an internet game out of counting the black people. I counted 15 black people, some of them were together most of them were scattered amongst 300 old white people. There were 5 Middle Eastern people. 1 Hispanic person and 6 Asians. Wow. What America are they representing? I’m African American, native American and Irish. I did not see me in a single one of those people. They looked like a cult. “Drill Baby Drill!” Wow! You’ve had eight years to drill. Ask your president why they don’t want to use the lease they themselves asked for. We could build housing and bakeries and put people in them if you have no plans to use them.

She easily fell between 12 weeks and 28 weeks.

To me, all of this seems very trashy. Libs, you don’t have to like her, vote for her, or even feel a warm fuzzy about the baby. But for crikey’s sake: DO YOUR RESEARCH before you froth off!

You got math issues, my friend. She announced on 3/6 she was seven months, i.e. 28 weeks. Went into supposed labor on 4/18, six weeks later. That’s 34. By my, um, research.

And I didn’t click on your link, but even the 28-week guideline would be superseded in the event someone is, y’know, ACTUALLY GOING INTO LABOR. Whatcha think?

America, please beware of Palin. She is indeed a wolf in sheep’s clothing and completely “Overated” by the Republicans and self. I would like to assure you that there is absolutely 0% of JEALOUSY from this group of Beautiful, Vivacious, Sexy and Totally Confident American Women.

This uproar exists simply because her nomination is an insult to our intelligence because Washington has an array of equally and more distinguished, accomplished, well-qualified and well-deserving women who were affronted by this party.

Although Palin’s accomplishments are commendable the same holds true for other hard-working women with just as much or even more accomplishments. The most displeasing act on their behalf is the fact that they are continually fabricating her credentials and accomplishments. In other words, they are outright lying to the people, distorting facts and avoiding questions and interviews.

Thereafter, they have the audacity to tell America, we should get to “know” her. The Republicans’ version of her is a counterfeit and they are telling us what they want us to believe what they say about her rather than allowing us to see the “Real” person. If you are not outraged, you should be. America, you can not see the deceit if you don’t “Wake Up”.

Sorry. I just don’t buy it. It is the family’s business if not for the implications about governing. “Straight Talk Express” is more like feed us anything! The family picture with Bristol’s bump could not have been taken in 2006 because another family photo taken in 2006 shows a much younger Piper. There is a big difference in how a 4 and a 6 year old looks.

Another odd thing – they announced that Bristol was “about” five months pregnant. It is so odd – have never heard that term used in referring to pregnancy. People say that they are # weeks, 4 1/2 months, tomorrow I will be 5 months, almost, but never “about” and people usually give the due date. “About” sounds almost as vague as a little bit pregnant. And don’t forget, so-called Irish Twins are always a possibility!. The Labour Day announcement was simply to tell us -oh no, this can’t possibly be Bristol’s baby because it would be impossible timing!

A careful reading of the Anchorage Daily Post April interview with the doctor shows how a large conspiracy would not be necessary. Trig was probably legally privately adopted by Sarah & Todd at birth so he IS their baby. That way, his medical needs could be carried by their insurance until he is 25. A patient’s mother would not need to ask the physician for permission to fly. The doctor & medical personnel do not need to lie – it is against the law for them to release any information without permission. Alaska’s birth records are not public.

I think women should forward this to every woman they know. The McCain spokesman said that they would be “flushing toilets” after the announcement. Information changing before my eyes and the secrecy disturbed me. Revision of history indicates what type of administration this would be. McSame -McWorse – Far worse!

The daugther is definitely pregnant. And Sarah is NOT 7 months pregnant in those pictures.

There’s a photo of Palin wearing a belt while she is supposedly pregnant. No pregnant woman wears belts. Belts get thrown out after about 6 weeks because they are uncomfortable around the expanding waistline. Most people think of pregnancy only being in the stomach area. They don’t take notice that the entire waist expands.

  59. on September 9, 2008 at 8:18 am Cats r Flyfishn

Sarah did not give birth to Trig. I didn’t say much about this pregnancy before but now that I have seen these pictures, it is quite obviously that Palin was not pregnant with Trig.

    It’s very suspicious, isn’t it?

I am the mother of 5 and I can admit that my pregnancy with my 5th child was similar to my first in the fact that I didn’t show until my 6th month of pregnancy. However, my labours came more fiercely and quickly with each child. I cannot understand for the life of me how a woman would get on an airplane and fly to AK from TX in active labour. I honestly believe that Sarah Palin is the grandmother of Trig Palin. I am also the mother of so called “Irish Twins” it happens more often than people think.

Just following all the commentary. I’m skeptical here of
    Sarah’s pregnancy as well.
A local friend informed me that his wife is related to Sarah’s in-laws in Alaska. (He wouldn’t expand on this relationship.) He assured me there is more then smoke that will soon be exposed on Sarah and her family.
(He wouldn’t expand on this either.) He said just
“see within the next month where everything falls out”.
    ————————————————–
How to end all the chatter? Do the test.
Men can be tracked today with DNA tests.

John Edwards would never have fessed u, had it not been for the possibility that his former aid’s child could be his.
(Yep, the lowly Enquirer forced this issue and even the
hot shot lawyer John Edwards caved on this one.)

President Clinton wouldn’t have fessed up had it not been
for his semen on Monica’s dress. (Can you believe she kept
it as souvenir -and: the paid , republican sponsored, government, blood hound of an investigator – supposedly turned it up!)
    ————————————————-
Now should come the ultimate DNA test, – Bristol’s baby.

    Why?
If the young man Levi (punk or just normal young male with
uncontrollable libido) should marry this Bristol, he (as well
as we the public) should be informed of his ligitimacy to
the baby. (if there really is one) It’s a test that will put all
this speculation to bed, or it will prove some (or all) of it
as true- and possibly bringing down a lying McCain
    campaign in the process.

Should politician’s young children be off limits to public
    scrutiny? Absolutely,
    But “children” don’t procreate!

Once Sarah paraded this young couple into the public spot
light: and it’s obvious now that Bristol is in a belly
    projecting mode- (be it a real baby, or a belly cushion);
this young girl Bristol has left the sphere of the protection
of being a child of a politician – and entered the
sphere of a sexually active young woman who’s celebrity
mother is a politician. Bristol’s mother exposed her to this
spot light. I think to take it off herself!

The public now deserves to know the truth.
If this Republican woman of steel – won’t submit her
    daughter to a DNA test to determine the fetus’s father;
She hasn’t got the right to tell us who the father is and
parade this young man and her daughter before us as a
    legitimate couple.
Yes, Sarah! You and your husband are tragically still the guardians of this young expectant Bristol. Lets see if you can do the right thing, instead of public exhibiting this young man, in a very inappropriate shot-gun style nuptial
    relationship before the American public.
    Prove it!

    —————————————
    —————————————-

Just one other thing that really gets me about this Roe V
    Wade issue “today” .
It’s all about a “woman’s” right to abort or keep “her” fetus.
Yet the male, hasn’t got any reproductive rights after conception. Now that DNA can clearly link the Male to the fetus. What about all this equal rights stuff you females have been clamoring about for decades?
My wife and sister say, males don’t have equal rights.
when it comes to issues of conception.
    OH REALLY!

Where does it say that – in any law, or the constitution?

    Am I pro-choice ? Yes,
both parents of the fetus say “yes” or ” NO” to abortion.
Can’t decide – no abortion- and custody ( with all maternity
and future costs for the care of the child) falls on the
    parent that wants the child.
You women are going to loose Roe-v- Wade on this issue with a conservative dominated, nearly all male supreme court, if your not careful. You better get new laws passed to cover this issue!

You know its viewed as equal rights under the constitution – not separate and greater rights.

    Hey Jon:

Interesting comments… and thanks for sharing.

I suspect there is something being covered up in this ordeal and I have always thought it was suspicious behavior. Hmmm… and why was Bristol staying at Sarah’s sister’s home? Why was Track sent to live in Michigan?? There is something there…

Is Troopergate and Babygate nothing but lies??

The truth will come out eventually and I wouldn’t be surprised to see that it was all lies…

  66. on September 28, 2008 at 2:59 pm chussain

I being a doctor myself just want to say that Sarah has committed a crime by being negligent towards her unborn son Trig by not only choosing to go to make a speech and then to take a plane to Alaska from Texas and then drive 45 minutes to give birth to this son. If she knew that he would be Down syndrome baby she chose to show this behaviour becasue she knew he is abnormal anyway. I am saying on this premise that what she has clamined is true.

Only on this one basis that how reckless can she be with her own unborn child she does not deserve to contest this election at all – because she would be reckless with lives of 160 million US People also directly and the rest of people in the whole world indirectly.

I can very assuredly say that NO OBSTETRICIAN would ever GIVE HER PERMISSION TO BE SO RECKLESS.

If she had done such a think in UK or Ireland , she would have been under investigation by Social Services and maybe even lose custody of her child – for being so negligent and reckless towards her child and on top of that knowning that he was a Down syndrome baby becasue its mandatory to get investigation for Down syndrome if a woman who is pregnant is above 35 year of age. So she knew she had this baby and she was being very negligent or careless and maybe thinking it might abort.

Now all above is based on premise that what she is said is true and Trig is really her own baby.

It also shows her real psyche as a woman and as a mother – no mother could be so reckless to her baby and now see what she is doing – she has left this baby and chose to run for VP – it clearly speaks for her motherly love for her children and her Christian values which she is always so avidly espousing.

  67. on September 29, 2008 at 11:47 pm Bear in SF

A friend of mine lives in Alaska and shared a story recently.

It is knowledge amongst some of the natives that Todd had a vasectomy 2 years before Trig was born. While children are occasionally born to couples where vasectomy has happened, it is very, very rare. That’s sort of the point of the operation, right?

If you add Todd’s vasectomy into the mix of other facts presented, it’s clear that Sarah Palin didn’t have this child.

Given her hypocrisy on no sex education and abstinence only (which failed her daughter miserably), it is quite conceivable that she is perpetrating a fraud so as to further her political agenda.

[...] And in this election cycle it seems there is no hope for reason either. The righties love Sarah even if she is so mind bogglingly stupid as to fail to comprehend the connection between abstinence only preaching and consequent teen pregnancy; that shotgun weddings aren’t a moral victory; that if one’s water breaks 5 weeks early while one is over 40 and carrying a known ‘tard that intentionally delaying medical attention for most of a day is tantamount to seeking termination in the third trimester, even if one is leaving the attempted abortion in “God’s hands” (or maybe in this case, not). 71. on October 3, 2008 at 3:42 pm Kitty

While I am not trying to defend Palin, I would like to add a comment about the person who talked about Palin getting up in the middle of the night to pump and wondering why she just did not breastfeed. I had a baby at 36 weeks which is termed a late-term preemie. Late term preemies have trouble breastfeeding around the clock because they just do not have the strength to do so. They would expend more energy to eat than they would get from the food. They may breastfeed once or twice a day during their alert time for the first 5 to 6 weeks (or a little after what would have been their expected due date.) So it is important for the mother to pump around the clock (every 3 hours or so) to ensure that her milk supply is insured while waiting for the baby to mature enough to take over nursing. This is with a baby without any other conditions. I would assume a baby with Down’s Syndrome would have even more of a challenge. So her comment to grab her pump, does not surprise me.

Her labor story doesn’t sound right either. I started leaking (not a total rupture just like Palin) and was sent directly to the hospital and hooked up to an antibiotic drip. I cannot believe that her doctor would have allowed her the time to travel on a plane before being given an antibiotic.

I do have a hard time believing that she, a 44 year old woman (the same age my mother was when I was born – and she was a woman who had lived on a farm all her life and could field dress a deer, but still needed recovery time!) was back to work in 3 days after having a late-term preemie with Down’s Syndrome. When you have to pump around the clock – pumping along with eating, sleeping, and caring for baby is all that you get done in those first few weeks – oh and with a late-term preemie going to the pediatrician even 2 or 3 days. Not to mention this is a special bonding time for mother and baby. Even if she is telling the truth, what does this say about her stand for longer and paid maternity leave in our country?

The story just does not sound logical to me, but neither does Palin when she talks.

  72. on October 9, 2008 at 10:11 am R.Z.

I say give them all DNA tests lets shut this up once and for all.
Who cares who the mother is? The fact that Palin ias possibly lying through her teeth is the problem. The only way for her to prove that this is her child is a DNA test of her and the childs father.

  73. on October 9, 2008 at 10:29 am Teresa

You are all wrong about the labor window being shorter after each birth. I have four (4) children….I labored with my fourth child longer than all three (3) of the previous pregnancies added together!

    Excellent site summary.
Anyone with common sense can see this may be the greatest hoax ever pulled on the american public. The Dems and mainstream media won’t touch it. I’ve figured out (n.b. I’m a practicing physician) why Palin did it — she has Narcissistic Personality Disorder [my mother had the same infliction]. I can’t figure why this fraud won’t get traction, though.
I won’t give up on exposing this scam. Palin’s new neocan friends are doing their Cheney style tactics to suppress and eradicate the facts. But sites such as this must persevere. Truth, reason, civilization all move winchingly, slowly forward in a 2 steps forward, 1.999.. steps back fashion.

  76. on October 23, 2008 at 8:09 am Lisa

Maybe this recent request for medical records will finally put an end to all the guessing. I hope that they discover the truth before Palin and McNasty pay the record keepers off to “fix” the problem before America knows the truth about the “dirty little secret.”

  77. on October 23, 2008 at 1:06 pm aaron

they’ve had months to fabricate medical records. only a true, verifiable DNA test can solve this. it’s obvious that she didn’t really travel from Texas to Alaska to have a baby, unless she and her doctor are the stupidest people on earth, OR, she peed her pants and thought her water broke (unlikely, as a 4 time mother should know the difference). if she is committing insurance fraud, she needs to come clean now. it’s honorable that she would try to protect her daughter, but her daughter seems fine to hold the baby, and the boyfriend seems fine kissing the baby’s forehead, so maybe this is really about Sarah being embarrassed her daughter got pregnant at 17 with a down syndrome child? Sarah needs to hold a press conference and tell the American people the truth, or a version of it, just like Bill Clinton finally admitted he got a blowjob. At least Sarah might have a better reason for lying…

  78. on November 2, 2008 at 8:41 am LittleGreyCells

I was thinking just the other day, having been reading up on all this, and here are the possibilities as I see them.

    1) Trig is Sarah Palin’s baby, and she is a fricking lunatic. (Giving speech, flying to Alaska, driving past Anchorage, etc.) Odds are if this is true, she did NOT know he was Down Syndrome before giving birth, because she’d have to be a moron to risk her unborn child in the fashion that she did.

    2) Trig is Bristol Palin’s baby, and Sarah was never pregnant, so the whole insanity of the trip to Alaska while in labor never happened.

    3) – And I’ve not heard anybody floating this hypothesis yet – Trig is Sarah Palin’s baby, and everything she said is literally true. She knew her baby had Down Syndrome. She could never abort him, because she doesn’t believe in abortions, but she didn’t want a child with such difficulties. So, she could do everything possible to stack the deck against his surviving. (That way, if he survived, it was God’s will that she have him, right?) Not go to hospital when water breaks prematurely? Check. Not go to hospital when labor starts prematurely? Check. Fly many hours without informing airline staff? Check. Not stop at hospital with NICU? (A large percentage of Down Syndrome babies are born with major heart defects that require surgery RIGHT AFTER BIRTH.) Check.

It’s an awful thought, but given the facts as Sarah has claimed them, she is either stupid, or she didn’t want this baby.

My husband pointed out to me that after Tuesday there will be no impetus to release medical records. I pointed out that if they win, the pressure is still on, and if they lose, it sure looks like Sarah is planning on sticking around for possibly 2012…

    What do you think?
