The British government’s grovelling apology to Israel after an arrest warrant was issued against former foreign minister Tzipi Livni was compounded by its promise to change the law to allow war criminals to roam freely.
Livni was up to her neck in the mass slaughter perpetrated against Palestinians in Gaza and declares her pride in all her decisions taken with regard to Operation Cast Lead.
I was surprised that this arrest warrant was issued. Not because it shouldn’t have been issued, but because it was allowed to be issued.
I’m not surprised at the British governments abject apology. Just deeply ashamed and embarrassed as a British citizen that we have to apologize to war criminals. Sometimes, I just wonder who really runs Britain.
“Sometimes, I just wonder who really runs Britain.”
Dunno, must be the same one that runs the US. It’s an eerie feeling to see a promising president reversing his stand on the promises that brought him into office and an elected Democratic majority that votes for the very issues that we trusted them to change… 😉
