A lot of wack rumors have sprung up around what is happening at the Bilderberg Summit every year. I don’t put a lot of stock in a lot of those rumors; I don’t think, for instance, that they meet to divide up the slaves, and I don’t think that they meet to form instruction sheets for the world’s politicians.

But I don’t know exactly what it is they do there, and nobody else who doesn’t get an invite does.

This year’s summit is supposed to be about “social networking and security,” but a lot of the names in attendance suggest that there are other things afoot. Kissinger, Rockefeller, CEOs of places like Goldman-Sachs. The Who’s-Who of the Plutocracy. I cannot imagine that these people are meeting to influence Governments, since they own quite a few of them. I’d guess that they are meeting to cement their hegemony over the riches of the world. While I don’t know what form that hegemony ultimately takes, I can safely assume that it is a form that would be unpalatable to the great mass of people. Otherwise, they’d release minutes of their meetings. They’d invite the press in. They’d let politicians in from countries that their policies will affect (as it is, any politician stupid enough to try to crash a Bilderberg Summit gets his ass beat by the local security forces. It’s happened more than once.)

In this world of ours, where right-wing scum constantly cry about SECURITY!!!, there is never a peep about these meetings. And that’s strange, because a bunch of disconnected, loaded people meeting in secret to formulate financial policy for the whole world are a hell of a lot more dangerous to us than any thousand Osamas will ever be. It seems to me that if we are ever going to weaken the Plutocracy, we must first give a damn about what they are up to. But we waste so much time on the Ten Commandments and birth certificates that these elites can go right on, doing what I suspect they’ve been doing for many years now-as in, dismantling the future for billions of people in the service of a few billionaires.

Do ya think we might get off “Jersey Shore” long enough to care?

Czar Kashitch I, of the Flippumoff Dynasty

First, to all of the Ohioans who have finally become aware of what I was screaming about months and months ago, I say: Welcome. You have finally seen it for yourselves.

I would also like to express my sincere sympathies that it took SB5 and Scammon Jones to finally wake you up.

Scammon Jones, of course, hails from the inbred backwater of Warren County, where the only things more numerous than unrepaired bridges are Rushpubliscum voters. Scammon knows her constituency well; she has spent her entire political career persecuting everyone who isn’t rich. About the only two things Scammon Jones will be known for later on is her desire to reduce Ohio workers to the status of serfs, and her desire to equip every first grader with a gun. Not an education, of course-just a gun.

Scammon and her Czar had to pull some tricks on their own Rushpubliscum caucus to get the job done, but they did it; they got SB5 through the Ohio Senate today. SB5 is, in some respects, even worse than the measure Pharaoh Walker is trying to push through the legislature in Wisconsin. In the Ohio version of the bill, NO ONE is exempt from the rules-which strip all workers of collective bargaining rights on everything but wages (which will be tied to the CPI,) require significant increases in employee contributions to their healthcare and pension plans, and termination for striking. In Ohio, a state job will be less attractive than working the drive-thru at Mickey D’s in a matter of a few years.

Today, some people close to me are finding out exactly what that means.

The Irrefutable Stupidity of Sarah Palin

Cenk Uygur

Host of The Young Turks

Huff Post- Posted: December 7, 2009 03:48 AM

From time to time, I’ll get into a debate with a right-winger about whether Sarah Palin is actually stupid or if liberals are just hopelessly biased against her. They claim this bias comes from the fact that liberals are scared of her electability, her charm, her looks, her femininity, her Christianity, her ability connect to the common man and her overall wonderfulness. So, the theory is that we have all collectively decided that she is the best Republican candidate in some secret liberal meeting and are conspiring against her because we are afraid of how brilliant and electable she really is.

Now, there are a couple of problems with this theory. There are no opinion leaders on the left with Rush Limbaugh-like authority who can command all other progressives to think the same thing and use the same arguments against one person. In other words, we all think she is stupid because she is in fact stupid, not because some liberal cabal told us to think that.

How come we don’t call Newt Gingrich stupid? Or Dick Cheney or Kay Bailey Hutchinson or Elizabeth Dole or Dennis Hastert? And the list goes on and on of heinous and deplorable right-wingers who are not stupid. We don’t make those charges against those people, because as much as we might not agree with them or like them, we know that they are not dullards. They’re all clever in their own way. Mitt Romney is greasy, Michael Steele is a clown and Tom DeLay is dirty, but we don’t go after their mental acuity like we do with Sarah Palin because they’re not as dumb as her (not even Steele).

So, finally we get to the evidence. I thought I’d just do it here and be done with it. Then I can just point people to this post from now on and end this senseless argument.

Now, there are a million examples of this, but I thought I’d go with three knockout punches here. In the first video, we have the classic Bush Doctrine answer, where she does not know the basic foreign policy of the Republican president at the time. How could she possibly be running for vice president and not know this? The only thing more unconscionable is the sad excuses her supporters make for this terribly botched answer.
