Does anyone remember all the lies that they were told by President Bush and the “mainstream media” about the grave threat to America from weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? These lies were repeated endlessly in the print and TV media despite the reports from the weapons inspectors, who had been sent to Iraq, that no such weapons existed.
The weapons inspectors did an honest job in Iraq and told the truth, but the mainstream media did not emphasize their findings. Instead, the media served as a Ministry of Propaganda, beating the war drums for the US government.
Now the whole process is repeating itself. This time the target is Iran.

Yep, I reckon this one has been in the offing for quite some time now…
Hello Sudan. I’m glad you continue to read what Paul Craig Roberts has to say. He served in the Reagan administration and continues to defend some of Reagan’s policies and I imagine you do not share his politics. But there is some convergence. He is someone I’m always prepared to listen to.
Hello Anthony, you rightly point out that Paul Craig Roberts has defended some of Reagan’s policies. He was a high official under Reagan.
But what is remarkable about Roberts is his clear stand against the criminal policies of the Bush administration and all the warmongers. His views seem to have undergone a big change since he left his secretarial post. He has been an insider; he knows how the power elite manipulate the American political system to further special interests by calculated manipulation and by misleading the American people. He is a hard-hitting academic who dares to tell the truth about what is happening in America and what the warmongers are doing. He is a great guy.
