Secret Service Investigating “Kill Him!” Shouter (Updated)

The Secret Service is following up on media reports today that someone in the crowd at a McCain/Palin event suggested killing Barack Obama, according to Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley. The shout of “kill him” followed a Sarah Palin rant on Obama’s relationship with radical Chicagoan Bill Ayers.

I wrote about this, this morning on Huffington Post, after I had read far too many reports about the violent, racist shouts coming from McCain rallies, egged on by the rhetoric of “Barracuda.”
Certainly, I can’t say John McCain and Sarah Palin are responsible for the specific words that come out of some nutcase supporters. However, I can and will blame them for setting the tenor here, and signaling what is and is not acceptable.
Let’s be clear – McCain and Palin are using some language that tells supporters that Barack Obama hates America, supports bombing America, thinks we are killers, that we should fear him because he views America like a terrorist would. What’s a supporter supposed to think that Palin and McCain want to hear back? ”Bully for him! Huzzah!”?
No, it’s hate speech, as hateful as anything overt. And it, not surprisingly, elicits a hateful, even violent, response. Violence and hate directed at Barack Obama.
And if the McCain campaign wants to say this isn’t a big deal, I suggest that they contact the Secret Service, because the Secret Service is now treating the crowd reaction at McCain rallies to be a violent threat against a candidate for President of the United States.
Are you proud of your campaign, Senator McCain?

This is a last, desperate gambit on the part of the McCain campaign. While I don’t believe they intend for anything sinister to happen, they think the vigorous reaction they are seeing is excitement and support instead of the pathetic reflection of their own bitterness and anger at being abandoned. Abandoned by the American public, abandoned by “the base”, and abandoned by the kind of campaign tactics that have worked so well for Republicans in the past, in a 20th century world, when information access wasn’t instant for a wide majority of people.

The secret service did investigate it, and they found that no one said Kill Him at the first rally, and during the second rally where the reporter was the only one who heard “kill him”, they found through audiotape playback that it was actually Tell him/Tell them. They questioned a lot of people and had the audiotapes to back it up. The Secret Service found that in both rallies, no one said Kill him.
But when you do a news story search on this, gee, only a few newspapers are letting people know this very important information.
Obama is a liar and a cheat he said he would accept public funds and then changed his mind after telling the American public one thing he goes lies. I fear for all Americans if he is elected because he will have his PLO buddies, and weather underground friends I just have no faith in Americans that elect a person that has more faces than a picture book of faces.
He is running a phony campaign, even the Clintons are standing back, but one thing about Hillary if she was wrong she would admit it Obama just talks around the truth as if we are all stupid, well he has a lot of people believing him maybe he is right there are a lot of stupid people out there.
They should investigate and throw the shouter in jail with the “skinhead.” He is just as guilty if this is true. We WILL not TOLERATE this kind of behavior from anyone. Those days are LONGGGGG gone if you get my drift.

I am so enraged with the McCain/Palin ticket. Their insistence on Obama being a terrorist is appalling. Palin making this topic a priority has now gotten totally out of hand. This is not a charge you accuse someone of lightly. We are now seeing the the repercussions of her horrific behavior. She is not just another “Average Joe.” She is running for the second highest office in the United States. She and McCain promise if elected, they will keep us safe. How can they honestly stand before us and promise that? Knowing full well that she has continuously tried inciting fear in American people about Barack Obama. She hasn’t directly brought up race. Maybe she feels that is unethical? And, accusing a man of terrorism isn’t? When you are asking people to TRUST you. And give you the PRIVILEGE of serving them, you should have ethics.
This despicable behavior has become a very big concern with allot of Americans. Even more so now. With the recent report of a plan to assassinate Bacrack Obama and other African Americans. This has got to STOP before it goes to far.
Candidates are supposed to be running on the issues, not on untruths. On the issues that will make our country a better place. I AM just an “AVERAGE JOE”. I will be voting for a future not a past!!!!
