So apparently there’s rumors that Sarah Palin is covering up the pregnancy of her 16 y/o daughter. Please see this thread for more.
While it may be in bad taste to bring all this up, and, believe me, I feel reluctant to, I think it does go to the candidate’s character. If she’s willing to cover it this up, well, need I say more?

Friday, April 18, 2008 ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Gov. Sarah Palin gave birth to her fifth child at about 6:30 a.m. Friday morning.
Just yesterday, Palin was in Texas at a forum on energy with Texas Gov. Rick Perry and executives from four other states.
The governor’s water broke during the energy conference but she stayed and gave a 30-minute speech before boarding an Alaska Airlines plane home to deliver the baby.
Impossible? Let’s just say I’m having strong doubts about this. As there’s no quotes from any doctors or nurses in the article, as soon as I can dig anything up from them, I’ll add it to this diary. Of course, if it turns out all to be legit, I’ll happily delete/apologize/you name it.
I’m more concerned about her scandal involving Mike Wooten and Walt Monegan.
McCain may have to ask for a redo…

Look, NO airline (Alaska Airlines was the airline she supposedly traveled on) is going to allow a woman whose water has broken to fly from Seattle to Anchorage (3+ hours) or from Texas to Seattle to Anchorage (4 + 3 + = 7 hours).
It’s insane and ludicrous.
She has lots of funny stuff … I’m very much taken with her liking to hunt wolves from helicopters…that’s a big plus!

It would (if it’s true) have to be Bristol – supposedly it was the 16.5 year old daughter.
Again this is just speculative but there is no way that woman flew from TX to Anchorage, IN LABOR after her water broke on a US commercial airline. They would have a fit! Alaska Airlines, like all US carriers, hesitates to even carry during the last trimester – even with a physician’s permission.
So if that is a lie……
Palin’s recent comments on Hilary (for those PUMA’s who think Palin = Hilary:
Palin talked about what women expect from women leaders; how she took charge in Alaska during a political scandal that threatened to unseat the state’s entire Republican power structure, and her feelings about Sen. Hillary Clinton. (She said she felt kind of bad she couldn’t support a woman, but she didn’t like Clinton’s “whining.”)
What amazes me most about this story is that she told her staff in March and the baby was born in April? None of her staff knew prior to being told in March? And, what, she would have supposedly been 7-8 months pregnant when she told them? And, not one of them knew?
Hmmm…
Also, the daughter was absent from school, but that could be complete rumor.
Palin comparing herself to Hillary and Geraldine Ferraro stuck in my crawl for some reason (at the news conference). Maybe it is the lack of experience on her part, it doesn’t seem like she “earned” a place with these other two women.
That would be something else if it is true about the daughter and mama faking a pregnancy.
PS… Once you had more than a couple of kids, you don’t take any chances during labor—those babies tend to come fast! I cannot imagine her traveling by plane after her water broke.
True – and the airlines would not allow this. Especially since she claims she flew on a commercial airline.

it would have been better if she told the truth whatever it is.
So, if it is the daughter’s baby…. who is the daddy? Maybe that is the secret they are trying to hide??

An email is going around that the baby’s father is her eldest son which is why she shipped him to iraq to keep the whole thing under wraps. Very far fetched but very juicy.

I just called Alaska Airlines. Their fastest flight for the 4,082 mile trip from Dallas to Anchorage is via Seattle. Total flight time is 6 hours 55 minutes, plus a 1 hour 10 minute layover, i.e., 9 hours total.
They indeed have no restrictions on women traveling pregnant, no matter how far along, but advise that the mother contact her physician for advice.

this article quotes the doctor about inducing labor on her. Not sure why he would lie and risk his career. So i’m not buying the conspiracy….besides, why would she tell everyone her water broke in Texas just to do the speech anyway if that’s not true? Why not just come back and say her water broke upon return?
So if she wanted to lie, I doubt she’d try to make herself look anymore worse.

The news re. the pregnancy of Sarah Palin’s daughter is too convenient. Could this be a coverup of the first coverup? We will never know for sure. Again, convently, she will not “give birth until after the November election. Either way, Gov. Palin was not entirely honest with the American People. What does this tell you about her character?
she had to have the baby one month earlier…she could not play pregnant anymore…
