One of the legacies of this decade is that a majority of Americans were so blinded by fear and kneejerk patriotism, they failed to see the cavalcade of horseshit dispatched from the White House:
The study counted 935 false statements in the two-year period. It found that in speeches, briefings, interviews and other venues, Bush and administration officials stated unequivocally on at least 532 occasions that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction or was trying to produce or obtain them or had links to al-Qaida or both.
How this group avoided impeachment is another legacy of our time.

It fair boggles me mind….
If they live to see the Hague and the rope, I’ll be happy….high war crimes are still tried at the World Court. They aren’t out of the woods yet totally.
I believe in justice (I know I know…)
This one voiced batch of blood suckers can only be compared to a flea infestation. If you don’t put collars on your cats and dogs to kill them they take over the White House and eventually all three branches of government. World court? I think that they have an infestation of their own…G:
WG: I agree with you … but even here in AZ (McCain’s “lair”), people are changing their registrations from Repig to Indy like mad. They are SICK SICK SICK of the Bush lies.
Let him go back to his bottle – and nose candy. It’s all he’s ever wanted anyway…sad and pathetic addict.
Bob,
This one is simple. The reason they are avoiding Impeachment is because our leaders are no longer following the consent of the governed as is the way of the Constitution. They are now following the consent of Corporatism through Lobbying actions.
In essence a small percentage of Corporate Elites are the ones running it their way.
What the rest of us say matters not…
Until such time as the majority of the American people rise up with weapons in hand and take back America in a mass revolt, the status quo will continue their takeover coup de etat which they’ve done through laws passed.
There’s only one thing for angry Joe six pack to do.
REVOLT!
Once the Economy Tanks that is what will happen because a slave no longer has anything to lose…

Yep, it’s true. Bu$h needs a good snort of Draino with an Everclear chaser. I’ve been wondering about the Independent thing. We’ve got a lot of Democrats here in Oregon, but I’m thinking about registering Indy too. What Bu$hco and the media have done to Kucinich by eliminating him from the primaries is about as low as it gets…G:
It isn’t too late to Impeach them! The people must tell their Representatives to Impeach!
OK…Impeach! Then tar and feather em…
and then HANG them .
If we don’t Impeach them for their crimes… we can expect more of this in the future and then what?
That’s just a nice way of saying “LIES”
I have to ask myself… how many LIES does it take to get them Impeached?
The real story is, once again, who’s behind the organizations publishing the report in the first place. The two organizations are the Center for Public Integrity and the Fund for Independence in Journalism.
The Center for Public Integrity is one of many George Soros fronts. Soros pays the bills and his minions, whether they happen to work at the CPI or the Center for American Progress or Media Matters or wherever, dance to his tune. And Soros has made it his life’s work to bring down the Bush administration. He says it’s the “central focus of my life.” Do you think people paid to to “research” by a man with that stated mission are likely to deliver unbiased findings?
Critical Thinking 101… take the class sometime.
The study is entitled, “False Pretenses: Following 9/11, President Bush and seven top officials of his administration waged a carefully orchestrated campaign of misinformation about the threat posed by Saddam Hussein’s Iraq.” Quite clearly, then, the authors contend that the statements were made with full knowledge that they were wrong in order to lead the nation to war.
The study finds no such thing.
It is now beyond dispute that Iraq did not possess any weapons of mass destruction or have meaningful ties to Al Qaeda. This was the conclusion of numerous bipartisan government investigations, including those by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (2004 and 2006), the 9/11 Commission, and the multinational Iraq Survey Group, whose “Duelfer Report” established that Saddam Hussein had terminated Iraq’s nuclear program in 1991 and made little effort to restart it.
But those committees were taking the evidence from well after the study’s timeframe. None of those commissions found that the administration deliberately lied.
The Duelfer Report was released a month before the 2004 election. Its chairman, Charles Duelfer, told a Senate panel, “We were almost all wrong” on Iraq. Note that he includes himself — and his audience — in this. This was Page 1 in the Washington Post and almost surely led every news report in the country that night.
Bush was re-elected a month later. Quit whining and trying to make this war into something it’s not… A Dem. talking point.

Take a breath Ed!
LOL
Hey Basheert:
Did you hear about this?
They’re sending Porkrind Rove!
ROFLMAO
SQ, You conjured up a troll. Do you remember that Crockodile Dundee movie where the ninja kicked at him so he grabbed him by the foot so he could hang on to him while he pummeled him vigorously about the head and ears…(:
Goofler report? How about the unpresidented masses of demonstrators all over the planet that took the time and effort to show up and condemn what was plainly seen as pre-emptive war with an already defeated country…G:
I sure hope that they send Porkrind to Oregon.
Hilary was here yesterday I know and they were turning people away … the place was absolutely jammed! And this is Arizona …
By the way, to those NOT living in this current purgatory known politically as Arizona, we do not have an open primary so 888,000 Indys will be denied the right to vote in the 2/5 primary. Therefore, the results you see will probably NOT represent what you will see in the actual election.
Approximately 45,000 indies changed their party to Democrat temporarily to vote in the primaries. The rest of us are not voting because our state doesn’t allow it.
So what you SEE in a primary, may not actually represent the actual voting public in a state that doesn’t allow indies to vote in a primary without changing registration.
So how did Bush win/steal another term after all those lies? It is because the corporate media muzzled anyone who’d use the L word. Corporate heads said it would be de-stabilizing.
Up until the ‘04 election, I heard only one person say on national TV that Bush lied. It was Ron Reagan Jr. on the October 27th edition of Hardball.
He told Chris Mathews, “George Bush is also going around the country and he is saying, ‘John Kerry says he will not defend America until we’re attacked, and only then, with the permission of our foreign allies.’ Now there’s a word for that and it’s not hyperbole and it’s not exaggeration. It’s lying.”
How about an expose of how he stole the election in 2000? Or how he got out of serving in Viet Nam? Or his DUI?
Seriously man, really, really tired stuff.
I agree. Worse, Bush continues to insult our collective intelligences by arguing that history will prove him correct. (He probably means that history will prove his lies worthwhile. This, by itself, ought to make one cynical about the future.)
He basically saying “Look, I lied. Then I killed. Then I lied some more. But seriously, when it’s over, nobody is going to care about that.” We’re not? Really?
