Marcy Wheeler @ Firedoglake.com hits the nail on the head by clearly showing the true reason that Bush commuted Libby’s sentence and may in the future pardon him.
It is absolutely and undeniably clear that Bush and Cheney have already implicated themselves by manipulating and obstructing Justice to prevent one of their own from swinging in the rafters and causing the possibility that Libby would out the true culprits behind the CIA Leak Case(or the Lie to go to war in Iraq).
This shows that both Bush and Cheney had a clear hand in orchestrating the CIA Leak in order to favor the intelligence to go to war on Iraq. This shows they CLEARLY LIED to us to take us into War.
This is TREASON of the HIGHEST CALIBER. Outing an Operative working on Loose Nukes for objective gain which did not warrant military action. (I mean Powell and Rumsfeld was in it too)
It was clear manipulation of the the facts that were NOT supported on the Ground in Niger in regards to the Yellowcake. Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld and others now gone from this administration should not think that they have gotten away with their role in this case which has so far not yielded the truth on just “Why did Scooter Lie in Court?”

P.S. NANCY PELOSI has shirked her responsibility to the People of the United States by not attempting Impeachment for Bush, Cheney and Alberto Gonzales for his role in the continuing obstruction of Justice.

The DNC, the DCCC, the DSCC and all the 08 presidential candidates think they deserve money today because George Bush commuted Scooter Libby’s sentence. Yet none of them are saying what needs to be said — that his act is obstruction of justice, pure and simple.
Most have long said that and suspected there are Criminals running this country.
Today we learned that this is the stone cold truth!
It was a good day!
Joseph Wilson also called this right: Bush’s commutation is proof of Libby’s guilt.
Amend article 2, section 2 of the Constitution which gives Presidents power to reprieve and pardon crimes committed against the United States.
This prerogative has been abused by too many presidents, Democrat and Republican included.
I don’t really understand why the provision was included in the original Constitution anyway.
What were the framers thinking?

Of course it’s obstruction of justice. Having Scooter sitting in jail, wondering why he was the scapegoat and will he be protected and all those awful questions that pop in during isolation is way too dangerous to the Bush thugs.
They came into office by shady means, they sunk lower, and continue to announce as loudly as they choose that they will do what they want, when they want, and dare anyone to stop them.
So far, seems no one has the political cojones to do that. And so this farce called government continues.

They were thinking on how to leave an out in case someone was wrongly convicted of a murder and sentenced to death which could be pardoned by the President at the last minute.
Sometimes it would be used to lessen a sentence from death to life in prison and could be applied to cases where the political will of the people played a major role in stopping an execution or a prison sentence.
The President could then Pardon and win the love of the people again.
However, it’s been twisted into a game of pardon my rich crime buddies by Bush, Clinton and others before that….
It’s just another Executive political tool now.
Every good intention that our Nations founders had have been twisted since the death of Kennedy…
There were instances before that but not as blatant as now!
We are witnessing a Coup’de Etat in Progress to turn our Nation into an American Federal Fascist Empire.
