WASHINGTON (Reuters) – British Prime Minister
Tony Blair is getting a White House sleepover for what may well be his last visit to Washington to see his Iraq war ally, President George W. Bush.
The two leaders, both facing strong domestic criticism for their stance on the war, were to hold a working dinner on Wednesday night then hold more talks on Thursday before a joint news conference.
Blair, who announced last week that he will step down June 27, typically has stayed at the British ambassador’s residence on Washington visits but got a special White House invitation.
“The president extended an invitation for Prime Minister Blair to stay the night at the White House and he accepted,” said White House spokeswoman Dana Perino.

Oh, I wonder if Bush will wear his “Commander Guy” jammies and Blair will wear his “Poodle” jammies?
LMAO
*laugh*
Perfect vid for this post.
A guy and his poodle.
I wonder if (gasp) they’ll have a slumber party together???
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
George and his Poodle. What a nauseating pair. It’s all so odd. Blair started out well enough, but Bush dangled the riches of the New World Order under Poodle Blair’s snout and it corrupted his soul.
Now, he’s one-a-them.
Looks like the poodle needs one more sniff of Dubya’s butt.
Yo Blair…
Maybe Poodle and Commander Guy can talk about brave war stories tonight, huh? How they were true heroes!
LOL
Hi dear bloggers to a common cause! Good to be with you!!
Bush and Blair are a perfect pair,
They have so much to share.
For the rest, they don’t care,
They BELIEVE it is only fair!
But what they share are their lies, deceits, falsehood, maniplation of public opinion, misleading their people and imposing their inhuman policies with military power on the weak countries of the Third World. Consequently, many in America and Britain feel that they have no choice than to buy such crap and appear to be happy.
My American friends, you have much in front of you right now.
I think there is a deception all around on a large scale, and many an honest people need to to be informed what is going on in the world due to the policies of war- mongers in Washington and London.
No doubt, the struggle will be long and the process difficult. There can be no easy alternatives. But the most important thing is that people have the power to make a change. They have to start thinking in terms that are more than the childish tradition of the Republican and the Democratic divide in the great land, which is the United States of America.
The Raw Story | Powell to present Iraq Study Group Democratic co-chair with public service medal
I have no respect left for Powell or Lee Hamilton. They both continue to think the American people are still asleep or haven’t figured out the truth, they both have blood on their hands from their lies.

Good thoughts good words good deeds…
The gorporate coverment has infiltrated so many places in government, education, religious, and especially business and financial institutions that we will be busy for quite a while trying to make harmony out of this chaos.

Yep…No easy alternatives. It might have to be from the bottom up, with the re-establishment of free enterprise. Big business has a death grip on the working folks and being in business for ourselves will be a better option.
The problem with the Republican party is that they have drank the kool-aide of the Neocons and have become addicted to it, not to say that a few Democrats have done the same. The divide was created by the Neoconservative ideologues with the old “you’re either for us or against us” argument. There is a growing awareness of the evil and deciept of these creeps and we will soon see birds of every feather flocking together.

Interesting site. By the way, if you check out Blair’s history, you’ll find he was committed to changing oppressive regimes and using force, where necessary, to bring about democracy. He was not perfect and his plans were not faultless. He was, however, a major influence in getting the US more involved in stopping the genocide in Kosovo. He has held ambitions for more rights for the Palestinians and for the peace process in that region for longer than most leading US politicians.
Tony Blair is nobody’s poodle. In fact, it’s quite clear from any press conference or major debate who is most clear about their motives and the facts. It certainly is not the American side, which has to pander to the mainstream media and tends to give wishy-washy answers.
A few points to consider: Churchill was not a popular choice as PM until the war started swinging his way. Most Americans were against involvement in WWII but, with hindsight, even the staunchest pacifist would be hard-pressed to argue against the need for US action against the Nazis.
I look forward to the responses.
